The bowl above was one of the first things that I threw. It's not very good but I thought I would post it anyway because I just got it out of the glaze firing this past class.
On Weds my teacher taught me how to make a pie plate. It takes about three pounds of clay. I did great for my first time. I flattened the clay just fine and I carefully brought the edges up. I then decided that I wanted to make a ruffled edge. I finished that and a bunch of us were looking at it and saying how nice it looked.
Then...
I accidentally hit the foot pedal and made it spin super fast and the whole thing flattened!
I covered my eyes and we all started laughing.
Oh well.
